MLS
The MLS, which is short for Multiple Listing Service is a compilation of listings that is made available for member agents to access. It is an excellent database of information and photos on active, pending, sold and withdrawn or expired listings. Member agents not only use the MLS to preview and show their buyer clients, but they can create market analysis and other reports for their clients to support or determine a value based on comparable listing data.
In short, the MLS is the most critical source of information for homebuyers, homesellers and real estate agents. Homebuyers may access the MLS and create their own custom home search of active listings anytime, 24/7. Unfortunately, SOLD listings are not available to the public.
