About John and his Team

Hello my name is John Brannan. The extensive training and skills I learned as a Speech and Communications Studies Major at SF State University has enabled me to excel in real estate as an effective communicator and negotiator.

Active listening is essential and, few, do it well. However, the fact is that eighty percent (80%) of all communication is actually non-verbal. In other words, it's the body language that speaks volumes into what a client is saying or not saying. Successful transactions rely on a thorough understanding of the client's needs, verbal and non-verbal. The Art of Persuasion is a powerful tool. John applies both verbal and non-verbal techniques to creatively negotiate on behalf of a client. Suffice it to say, it's not so much what you say, but 'how' you say it.

His training in Speech and Communications studies has been instrumental in helping his clients achieve their real estate and financial dreams. John has been practicing and mastering these communicative skills for the last 23+ years in the Marin real estate market.

Because he grew up in the real estate business, he was able to learn from his father's vast knowledge and experience in real estate. As a result, he's well-versed in all aspects of real estate including, commerical, residential, leasing, exchanges, investments and sales.

Most Brokers offer a basic CMA (Competitive Market Analysis) that can easily be assembled and printed with a push of a button. That's where John gets started.

When it comes to a decision as important as buying, selling or financing real estate, it is critical to understand the 'big picture'. Based on a thorough real estate and financial analysis, his clients are well-informed to make the best decision for themselves and their family. However, this may mean that after reviewing a client's situation, John's recommendation may be not to sell or buy at this time. He believes that serving the client's best interest will translate into a trusting, successful, long-term relationship.

John's christian values direct and guide him to make the right decision for his clients. "Give first, then receive". And, more importantly, in that order!

John Brannan and Brannan Associates Realtors is committed to being your 'Real Estate Advisor for Life.'
